DREAM:
Riding around in a plywood elevator. Trying to avoid the 7th floor but a dad prevents this. Gangsters get on and off, potentially bad ones come on at the 7th floor. One especially giddy gangster is impressed with my mock-punching abilities. “Do a left-right!” he shrieks.

Me: Hey Julie. You awake?
You: Yeah!
Me: What are you doing?
You: Murr Murr. Murr Brag.
Me: Are you sure you're awake?
You: Yeah!
Me: (I open the door a bit. Light is on full blast. You aren't anywhere. Confusing. Hiding behind the door? The whole room is empty. Then, I see you're curled up in the smallest ball possible, in a dress.)
Ok, sorry. I'm gonna shut the light off.
You: Brack.

DREAM:
In Boston, on Joy St. My mother is picking up items for a ‘house sale’. This family needs to sell their belongings for money. We drive to our house and unload old threads, empty boxes. Walk through some of the apartments. The interiors are different, a pool, dark wood, 80’s angles. The family’s secretary calls up, “Mrs. So-so is very worried, where is her silver...

Q: I have gone into several coffee shops and bookstores and noticed a sign saying the business was “WiFi equipped.” I don’t have a computer, and I don’t expect I’ll ever get one, but I am curious as to what this means. -M.H.G., Attalla, Ala.

Walking up an icy mountain. Rocks of ice. Reach the crest at Sacramento and Mason. It’s so foggy. Try to take a photo, but can barely see. Wonder if the photo will come out. My apartment is crumbly and I live with Ali. She shows me our door. Lots of iron work, painted and painted over.

“low-growing berries are also worth trying, since their natural habitats are partially shady. Anything that grows as a groundcover (alpine strawberry, cranberry, bearberry) or low-growing shrub (lingonberry, lowbush blueberry, creeping Taiwan raspberry) may bear successfully in limited sunlight. If you have a patch of yard that is mainly shady and space enough for a larger shrub, consider an...

R J Ruppenthal, Fresh Food From Small Spaces (wishlist!): You will need a space indoors that has natural light from a window, or else a tabletop area above which you can mount a fluorescent light. If you want to start seeds outdoors with climate protection, you could use a grow-frame, plastic cover, or small hobby greenhouse. If you need an indoor light, do not spend the $200 for a hydroponic...
